Advanced Placement European History

About the Course

Advanced Placement is a CollegeBoard program allowing students the opportunity to study college material and earn college credit, while still in high school. AP Euro (as offered through PCHS) has two similar, but not identical objectives.  This course covers the Virginia Standards of Learning (World History 1500 A.D. to the Present) and will help prepare you for mandated state testing, administered near the end of the semester.  This course is also an Advanced Placement European History class and must comply with those standards. Besides giving you a chance to get ahead in your college work, AP European History encourages you to develop better study habits, analytical skills, and a greater capacity for critical thinking.
